‘Essex Brownell Cares’ Partners with Local Organizations to Give Back in a Busy July

Essex Brownell Cares, an employee-driven community support initiative is looking forward to an active month within the Fort Wayne, IN community. During July, they will be collaborating with several local organizations to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Essex Brownell Cares is dedicated to giving back to the community and supporting various initiatives that promote social values through participation. By partnering with institutions such as St. Andrews Soup Kitchen, Rescue Mission Treasure House, Wellspring Food Bank, SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect), Community Harvest, and Turnstone Day Program, among others, Essex Brownell employees aims to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.

“There are so many organizations in the Greater Fort Wayne area that not only need the help but also count on the involvement that our team regularly provides,” said Callie Scipio , Executive Administrative Assistant at Essex Brownell. “So many people here really embrace the spirit of giving back and being active in the community.”?

Scipio coordinates with each group as well as the employees to ensure that each opportunity is covered. Employees are also credited with work hours for their volunteer time.

Throughout the month, Essex Brownell Cares will be actively involved in various activities to support these organizations. The group will be filling bookbags for a back-to-school event organized by SCAN, ensuring that children have the necessary supplies to start the school year off right. Additionally, they will be participating in another backpack filling with Community Harvest, supporting children that may not have access to nutritious meals during weekends and holidays.

The group will be engaging with Turnstone Day Program to organize a fun-filled trivia event. This initiative aims to bring joy and entertainment to individuals with disabilities, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity.

Essex Brownell Cares recognizes the importance of supporting local organizations and the impact it can have on the community. By actively participating in these initiatives, the group hopes to inspire others to get involved and make a difference.
