Mutually beneficial relationships are central to all successful partnerships. Recently, Essex Brownell and AEV Ltd proved that to be true with a lunch-and-learn training session.
Todd Karpy , Regional Director of Sales - Liquids of AEV, leant his expertise in electrical insulating varnishes, resins, and compounds to the Essex Brownell sales team over the course of a 60-minute presentation on its Fort Wayne, Indiana campus.
“It is always advantageous to both sides when you get to be together, face-to-face,” he said. “AEV is known for its dedicated research and in providing innovative, environmentally safe products. Sharing some direct information with outside representatives—and making sure everyone understands our benefits and how to message them, is paramount.”
His presentation began with a brief history of AEV, its manufacturing locations that work in conjunction with Essex Brownell, and how to streamline the distribution process for customers. Karpy proceeded to emphasize the importance of the robust AEV product line and its applications.
He also gave several detailed examples based on use case. One that stood out was an aviation part that requires special material qualities; that when a plane flies from a hot, humid climate to a cold one, certain types of materials need to withstand the extreme temperature changes and cannot crack from the contraction and expansion created in application.?
AEV, as a part of ISOVOLTA Group , has set its mission to create something purposeful and generate profit by acting in an ecological and socially responsible way. Executing this mission through their products, such as water-based emulsions, AEV proudly strives to make the planet greener, one step at a time. “This was a great learning opportunity and experience for our new hires,” Kristie Moore , an attendee and Essex Brownell’s Inside Sales Supervisor, said. “Being able to learn more about AEV and their product offerings helps everyone.”
AEV also recognized Essex Brownell as an industry-leader in the motor repair sector by making it the exclusive distributor for its motor repair business in the United States.
Karpy wrapped his presentation by emphasizing the importance of customer maintenance and the AEV Tank Maintenance program. Using more real-world analogies, he described how regular tank maintenance is vital to ensuring the product remains useable, long term.
“AEV can take a core product and adjust its chemistry to create several products,” he explained. “We are also able to work on custom solutions and blend with other products.”
Essex Brownell was proud to host Karpy for the internal training. AEV’s products meet modern day requirements and are environmentally conscious. With a global presence that bolsters their reach, AEV makes a strong partnership with Essex Brownell and after attending the training, Essex Brownell employees walked away with more AEV knowledge in order to better serve customers.
