Choosing "Must" rather than "Whatever"
2 Thessalonians 1:3
There are many things we can do in life, but there are a few that are critical if we are to make a difference in life. Many people live with "hope" or "maybe", but faith is certainty in Jesus, who never comes in second. It's essential we take on the challenges of daily life with this confidence in Jesus showing up every time, with answers to all we need to make a difference in life.
Love for someone must have practical visibility, and not just something we think about. God always opens doors of opportunity for us to show our love to people and often in unique ways. Risk, often is involved in developing deep love for someone. It can mean confronting them with a challenging question or observation you've made as you've been with them.
Think about those in your family, fellow employees, or friends you golf with or just hang out for meals or conversation. Look for opportunities to love them in practical ways and trust God with the outcome. We must choose to trust God and love others.
How much of your life is small talk? How could you introduce a serious question about life with your friends?
