The Essence of Home in Student Housing: Osceola Apartments

When the designers at HPA Design Group, Orlando FL expressed their interest in creating an art package at The Osceola Apartments in Tallahassee, FL. our expert Curators and Art Consultants immediately sprang into action.

This month, the art package created in collaboration with HPA Design Group, warmly welcomed the student community at The Osceola Apartments. This project was developed last year, spanning from June and July. Even though it was just installed a few weeks ago, it carries particular importance for us as our inaugural collaboration with HPA Design Group, led by their Director Of East Coast, Virtue Wilmot and our very own principal Juliana Roslin.?

Together, we meticulously created a cohesive and inspiring package for the amenities spaces students could be proud of.From a gallery wall featuring key elements of the University to a personalized lounge area adorned with custom art reflecting local culture, our goal was to create a welcoming atmosphere for students to feel at home.

We designed contemporary pieces, drawing inspiration from both the university's architecture and local motifs. Incorporating elements such as palm trees and nods to the city and university culture. We strive to craft inviting pieces that resonate with students, and feel fresh.

The art package at The Osceola Apartments exemplifies the comforting sensation of being close to home: it is not only visually appealing but also warm and inviting. Over the past few months, our team at the Art Firm collaborated closely with the team of HPA Design Group designers to develop an art package that evoked three key factors: the essence of the local environment, the history, mission, and values of the university, and the sense of familiarity and comfort associated with home.

The first factor, the essence of the local environment, is a crucial factor influencing the art package design for student housing. The artwork reflects the identity of the location and is inspired by local architecture. We incorporated relevant elements of the city where the University is located, which is Tallahassee. Our designs include pieces that capture the essence of the city, such as a detailed map, and we've also crafted a unique piece featuring the phrase "Greetings to Tallahassee."

The second factor, highlighting the history, mission, and values of the university, provides a rich array of elements to integrate into the renovation of the Student Housing. Our art packages are carefully crafted to align with the university's core values. Additionally, we've included portraits of historical figures, such as a piece inspired from the Unconquered Statue on the FSU campus in the Gallery Wall. These intentional details in an art package, create substance while still visually enhancing the space.

This project has undoubtedly been a significant collaboration for us. We were involved in every step of the art package for this renovation project, including the development of the artwork and its installation at the Osceola Apartments in Tallahassee, FL. The art installation was a resounding success and was completed in just under one day. This is a clear example that the Art Firm team provides turn key services, and handles all the details.?
