Eskom and the state of disaster - the descent to chaos!

The Government is promoting the declaration of a national state of disaster on the power crisis. Will this fix the problem - or inflame an already volatile situation?

For answers we need go no further than their performance during the Covid crisis:

1. Massive amounts of money were "misappropriated" - embezzled
2. The apparent Zero tolerance for corruption on this crisis issue came to naught - with culprits even being advanced in the ranks.
3. Innocent victims were shot and killed - with no apparent recourse
4. Massive abuses of power took place that affected the SA economy and livelihoods of South Africa severely!
5. Refusal of disclosure and submission to public scrutiny on actions during this period - and the disastrous outcome

Will this be another descent into chaos - as we allow the ones responsible for the disaster - to manage the crisis? It is tantamount to putting a wolf in charge of the henhouse!

It needs an impartial disaster committee vetted by business and the society at large- devoid of political influence to save the day - those with skill - capability - accountability and worthy of trust! The crisis is too severe - to have more grandstanding and corruption. Will this happen?
