Fariborz M. Tehrani will be presenting at the Mid-year Committee Meeting of the TRB Committee AKG50 on Transportation Earthworks on Friday, September 8, 2023, 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM (ET): Linking electrochemical properties and corrosion rates in ESCS backfills.


#ACI announced the Excellence Award Judges for the Ninth ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards. A three-member jury, including Han Ay Lie, Ron Burg , and Roberto Stark, will select the most outstanding project. Expanded Shale, Clay and Slate Institute congratulates judges and is looking forward to the ACI's prestigious Overall Excellence Award.

"The search for ways to eliminate or reduce cracking has been a priority for DOTs for a number of years, and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), among others, have experimented with internally cured concrete (ICC) as a potential remedy."
"The internally cured concrete bridge deck showed significantly less cracking after 1 year of service."
