The Escalating Nursing issues in the US

I was reading the article with great interest as quite evident that the country is facing a major disaster with the escalating healthcare issues and an out-of-control healthcare budget.

The pandemic has just further escalated these issues. There is no doubt that critical care is at the foundation of this and there is even no shortage of opinions. Or even proposals of so-called solutions but the reality is that the biggest component of these escalating costs originates in rural and especially inner cities where most of the minority of our population resides. But not even the many new entries are interested in addressing it as they can not see a return on their investment.

?The nursing shortage is a component of these escalating issues as evidenced by the critical shortage we are experiencing around the world. But we also must recognize the hypocrisy of the West where they are recruiting nurses in developing and underdeveloped countries which has a major impact on the local economies as well as the delivery of care. While preaching their dedication to helping them.

The reason for this escalating nursing shortage is the stress on the nurses by the escalating critical care issues and the lack of not only offering them the available solution to allow them better patient care that new technology has developed. But especially not providing them adequate compensation for the hard work they do.

It is more financially beneficial to them to import nurses that are not only less expensive but less vocal. I do not have to list the facts backing up my opinion as it is in the papers every day about the strikes with their demands illustrating these facts. And I consider the industry hypocritical in saying that they can’t afford this escalating cost while executive perks and compensation are sky high.

But the blame goes all around as it seems that everybody has an opinion but when solutions are introduced to them they are more concerned about a pedigree than a viable solution.

There is a consensus that critical care is at the foundation of these escalating issues. The recent pandemic has just further illustrated and escalated the need for a solution. These issues are even more critical in rural and especially inner cities the largest source of expensive critical care issues. But as evidenced not even the many new entries in the market are interested in addressing it as they do not see a potential return on their investment.

One of the important applications we developed over the years is to address the critical issues in healthcare in rural and especially in inner cities. A solution that allows a doctor or nurse to interact and monitor a patient disease-specific with a cellphone and prevent critical and expensive consequences.??

The Mobile Clinic solution we developed to address the lack of healthcare infrastructure in rural areas allows a nurse to deliver preventive services in their community with the use of an Android tablet. But in case of need, they can immediately interact with a doctor or hospital provide them with the monitoring history of the patient and address the issue before it becomes critical or allow for transport to a facility. ?

At the same time, it also will be a solution for the critical issues in rural areas by providing a solution to the desperate situation that many rural hospitals are facing. Not only to deliver better care but more importantly the ability to retain many of the valuable services that drained out with no financial benefit to the community that can generate the necessary revenue to keep them operating.

The solution was also adapted to address the critical nursing shortage. We even developed a proposal to several major hospitals and teaching institutions to have graduating nurses trained on the use of the solution and then license it to them to be implemented in their community.

This solution not only can deliver better care in these communities but also generate jobs and business opportunities for the nurses. It would also address the major compensation issue that is at the foundation of the shortage. In inner cities would also address the lack of trust in many of the large hospitals by the members of the community. We can even say that these issues are a result of a lack of funding as there are hundreds of millions provided by the government and even private charities. Like, for example, the recent $100 million donation to Hopkins to address the critical issues in inner cities the Bloomberg Foundation where even by their admission there is a lack of trust and communication with the members of the community. Also quite evidenced by the escalating capacity issues in ER in these hospitals.
