The main benefits of ERP systems are seen as the production of real-time data sharing across integration and automation of business processes. This is particularly important in this new business environment where automation, effectiveness, and efficiency in operations and real-time data are important factors for business success. Despite all these known benefits of ERP, more than 50% of the suppliers whom I worked with (mostly SMEs) do not deploy ERP and the ones who do, find the?deployment very challenging?in the first go. We deal with a lot of disputes with regard to ERP solution providers and we have a guide that outlines legal responsibilities for ERP providers that aren't often documented in contracts, but are implied in law. I don't know if these are points that might be helpful in your thinking process? The guide outlines these responsibilities and steps to both remediate issues when they arise and ideally, put actions into place to avoid the problems occurring in the first instance.
