Is the ERP Implementation Complete at Go-Live ?

Go live is one of the most important milestones in an implementation but wait … you’re not done yet !

One of the biggest mistakes that can be made is to assume that the project is complete once the cut-over from the legacy system occurs. The critical “tests” of the new system happen after go-live. For example:

  • First Month-End Close (Bank Reconciliation, Journal Entries, Financials
  • First inventory Count
  • First year End
  • First Audit

In the months following the implementation you need to evaluate whether the original goals have been fulfilled including improved efficiency of month-end close and financial reporting.

There should be a measurable difference with the time and resources required to perform the tasks required to complete the Month End Process.

Not only monthly closing or yearly closing..hyper care period just after Go Live for 2-3 weeks is also crucial.

That's completely true and in ArcherPoint we value that. After each project we wait for first month end (45 days) before we transition to support.
