Erasing the Margins in the Book Industry
Hey folks, I'm not in good biking shape this year. I'm hoping you can help me out and contribute to an extremely good cause at the same time. Through my company, I'm involved in a non-profit organization called Legacy Unbound (https://www.legacyunbound.org/). Their purpose is to uplift folks in historically excluded communities in the book industry. They do this primarily by coordinating and paying for internships within the industry.
I have a passion for the power of books to change lives and I've been involved in the book industry most of my career. Legacy Unbound's mission is to erase the margins of inequity in this industry and they are doing amazing work, but they are always in need of funding.
I'd like to ask my LinkedIn community of friends to consider donating to a fund raiser to help support the internships next year. As part of that, I'm going to commit to riding my bike 2 miles for every dollar you all donate over the next 3 months. If you all completely blow me away, I might have to do keep going after 3 months. I will record each of my rides in Strava and will call out a donation (unless you want to be anonymous). I'm hoping to use this as motivation to get in shape and to raise money for this cause.

Let me know if you have any questions and thanks in advance for your support.
Incredible initiative! ?? How are these efforts transforming the industry???
