The Era of Oppression Is Over
It's been over four months since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At first we were all shocked to see the horrors that we thought would never return to Europe. But as the weeks and months went by, emotions grew numb, the horror subsided, and the Russia-Ukraine war has become another item on the media's agenda. But this nasty war on the fringes of Europe is like no other war before it. It foretells a new era, where bullies can no longer capitalize on their threats and intimidation.
It doesn't look like Russia will win this war. And I hope it will teach us that no nation can impose itself on another nation in this day and age. The era of imperialism and colonialism is over and humanity is in a new place. This ugly war is a herald of a new era, where we see that no nation can encroach on another and hope to come out on top. The era of oppression is over. And the whole world is watching.
The aggressor mindset that has been entrenched in human consciousness for so many centuries will not go down without a fight.
This transformation will not come easily, because bullies have been used to getting their way until now. The aggressor mindset that has been entrenched in human consciousness for so many centuries will not go down without a fight. But Russia cannot defeat Ukraine when Ukraine is backed by the US and Western Europe. Russia will not give up without losing face, but ultimately, it will have to abandon its plans.
This war is a testimony to the limits of military might. And we're actually already seeing how the longer aggressions continue in Ukraine, the more bitter Russia’s defeat will be. If it continues with its current strategy, it will come out of this war a drained and weakened country. Then it will have to invest in rebuilding, and abandon its grand schemes regarding the other parts of Europe.

In today’s reality, aggressors awaken powerful forces that rise against them, with the entire world criticizing and punishing them at every opportunity.
Paying A High Price for this Lesson
This war is a good lesson for all of us: No matter how wealthy or strong you may be, you cannot win if your goal is to conquer others. In today’s reality, aggressors awaken powerful forces that rise against them, with the entire world criticizing and punishing them at every opportunity. It looks really bad, especially when the whole point was to pump up Russia's image.
Even Russia will have to see this war as an opportunity for reflection. The Russian people will have to ask themselves many very tough questions about themselves, their mentality of brutality and intimidation, and where they are going with it in today’s world. When it's all over they'll realize that whoever starts a war in today's world, will come out a loser. We may have tolerated things in the past because the world was less transparent, we may have been less aware of all the details, and maybe we didn't really care what was happening on the other side of the world. But now our eyes have been opened, and there's no turning back.
