Inflection-2 Beat Google's PaLM 2 Across Several Common Benchmarks?

18 countries endorse the Global AI Security Guidelines??

The Nation Cyber Security Centre of the UK government together with the US and 16 other countries recently published a set of global AI security guidelines, developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The guidelines aim to promote responsible and trustworthy AI development and deployment and focuses on the idea of making AI “secure-by-design” and “secure-by-default”. The agreement however does not call out penalties for cases of non-compliance.???

ML-based software that helps in joint replacement surgery wins a patent?

Exactech , a developer of orthopedic implants and instruments, was granted a patent for its Predict+ software. It utilizes machine learning to guide surgeons during joint replacement surgery. With Predict+, the surgeon needs to input as few as 19 data points about a patient and within seconds, the software predicts the patient’s potential outcomes, including pain, function, and range of motion.?

AI-based solution for air operations planners?

BAE Systems has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to develop an autonomy-based video game experience for mission planners. The game will utilize AI to help planners develop strategies and tactics for complex air operations. The drag-and-drop video game-like interactions reduces the time it takes to make a series of incremental adjustments to a plan from hours to minutes.?

Google Gemini is here. But is it real after all??

The live demonstration was created by using still image frames from the footage and instructing through text, rather than having Gemini respond to, or predict, respond to real-time drawings or changes in objects on the table. With these revelations, the video doesn’t exactly feel as impressive! ?
