Equal Pay Day 2022
The 2022 Equal Pay Day is Tuesday, March 15, and we are acknowledging the day here at K&A Engineering Consulting, P.C. (K&A). According to the National Committee on Pay Equity, this day marks the date to which women employees must work into the following year to make the same salary as men did the year before. So, in other words, women need to work all of 2021 and through to March 15, 2022, to earn the same wage as a man did working only in 2021. It’s a powerful symbol of the gender pay inequality we are facing.?
Women in the United States who work full time, year-round are paid only 83 cents for every dollar paid to men. While progress has been made, it’s not enough.?
While March 15 symbolizes the average pay inequality for women as compared to men, the gap is even wider for minority women. It’s May 3 for Asian American/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander women, June 15 for LGBTQIA+ women, July for moms, September 29 for Black women, November 30 for Native women, and December 8 for Latina women.?
At K&A, we are committed to a fair and equal wage for women and all minorities – and hope all companies will do the same.?

2 年Wow, I knew there was inequality, but not to this extend… Something to spread more so others also get informed of the statistics. Thanks for sharing.
