Episode 86: Crème de la Crème
Odalys Jasmine García Arce
Hella Latin@ Podcast | First-Gen ???? | Storyteller | Representing what Latinidad really looks like — one story at a time
Hola mi gente! I’m hella excited to share an amazing conversation I had with the one and only Eilyn Jimenez, founder and creative director of Sire Design , the internationally recognized Miami-based interior design studio, and who you may recognize from her Netflix series, Designing Miami.
This conversation with this badass business Latina was fire in every way. She shared her life journey, some beautiful wisdom on success, and dropped gems that will inspire and empower you!
Here is a sneak peek of our conversation:
Eilyn emphasizes the importance of supporting each other instead of bringing each other down—something that she clearly shows in her series and her business. Personally, one thing I love about Designing Miami is that it’s not based on drama as most reality TV shows are.?
It celebrated Latino excellence, culture, talent, creativity, success, community, familia and the #immigrant/ #firstgen experience. And it was all centered around a #LatinoPowerCouple building their own Interior Design businesses.
In the same spirit of "hay comida para todos" (there's food for everyone), there is abundance and space for all of us to shine.
If Eilyn hadn’t gotten out of her comfort zone and a strict Cuban household to take a leap into the unknown, she wouldn’t have become the person she is today.
