“My success is built upon resilience.”
This woman right here went from being a 16-year-old girl in the Dominican Republic to suddenly becoming an adult in the US. She took those challenges with grace and even when she got rechazo after rechazo, she found a way to pick herself back up — and that resilience is what led Stephanie to become the mujerón she is now.
"We're just looking to tell our stories because we feel like there are people out there who need to hear it."
When Stephanie spoke about the insecurities and fears she experienced before starting to open up publicly about her story, she mentioned how sometimes a lot of us are afraid of being seen as a victim. And I get it. That was me, too! I used to stray away from telling my story because I didn't want to be a pity story. Can y'all relate? I just love how in this conversation we are reminded that our stories have value and can help heal our community. A reminder to all to own your story, love your story, and share it with community.
