Episode 6 - How to Reduce LinkedIn Friction by using better Diction

Getting the best out of what is already in place
?? The last two weeks have been very full on and have to say fun.
?? As ever #LinkedIn have been active with several new add on features, don't worry I won't be going through them, which will improve content delivery and engagement I am sure.
?? All jolly good and worthwhile but it's the results I want to focus on not the mechanics, the driving of the LinkedIn car not the nuts and bolts of the engine is what matters to me and clients.
?? Diction beating friction, using better words in questions, improving the tone of how you deliver those words and the sheer joy of being more direct, getting to the point and asking for the meeting, the sale, the contract.
?? Great to be back out in the real world, delivering talks, being on the Radio, Bold Calling and sending postcards to anybody that stands still long enough to get a postal address.
?? Delivering training over Zoom is great and I enjoy it but my first love is to be a room, the roar of the grease paint and the smell of the crowd, or something like that. ?
?? There is something magical about face to face interactions in training. Getting the room to work for the way you want, meeting new people, getting that difficult person to smile and laugh as quick as you can. The questions and the feedback.

?? Have been using the messaging function more by clicking on the video messaging icon. Have not set up instant meetings but scheduled them. Easy to do and some cracking results.
?? Had a linkedIn breakfast, brilliant, three of us, good breakfast and some ground covered and one big step closer to two new clients. What's not to like?
?? All in all a good two weeks and some exciting times ahead.
?? Please do get in touch, love a chat and so happy to explain more about Bold Calling, Messages on QR codes on postcards and how to avoid getting poached egg down your shirt at a breakfast meeting. ?

2 年Never thought of networking in 'theatre' terms. The roar of the grease paint. I love my live networking meetings. But that phrase really resonated and may help me step up my game next Thursday when I deliver my one minute! Thank you Angus Grady

2 年Thank you to the person who messaged saying that my spelling is terrible and that they would be cautious about using me because of that. None of us are perfect, progress not perfection is my yardstick. Looking for faults and not the good in things is something I suggest you change, there is good in everything.
