Project SIRIN is a Ukrainian and Western network aiming to fill urgent, persistent supply gaps of mission-essential equipment for all Ukrainian operations units during their fight for freedom.
The idea for the project was born between a couple of friends as a means to help their friends and relatives in Ukraine when the war with Russia broke out. Now, it’s grown into an organization that collects donations to buy various equipment for Ukrainian military units.?
In this episode, we meet with Patrick, the Director of Communications at Project SIRIN. He tells us about the ways SIRIN collects donations, where they go, and how community-building accelerates their efforts.
?? Finding positivity amidst hardship
Not only Project SIRIN collects donations they also sell merch to help their efforts. Patrick from Project SIRIN reveals that the idea to sell merch actually came from one of their first big donors.?
The donor sold t-shirts with print-on-demand and SIRIN volunteers thought it would be an amazing way to raise additional funds.?
Patrick told us that he’d tried to set up a merch store in the past and it wasn’t nearly as easy as it was with Printful this time. He appreciated how effortless adding designs to products and pushing them to the SIRIN store was.?

Launching the Project SIRIN merch line uncovered another aspect that greatly helps the organization—it’s the feeling of community their supporters feel when they get SIRIN merch. Patrick said that togetherness and shared positivity are highly important during tragedies such as this war. It lifts up the spirits of both the Ukrainian heroes at the front lines and also supporters around the world.?
