Episode 3 of 24 Hours in A&E: Everything to Me
The latest episode of Channel 4’s RTS award winning documentary, 24 hours in A&E resumes on our screens tomorrow, Thursday 27 February at 9pm.
This episode follows the stories of three patients who have faced some huge obstacles in their lives and how they have been the source of inspiration for their families.
This fly-on-the-wall documentary is back at Queens Medical Centre (QMC), Nottingham – one of the busiest A&E departments in Europe. A place where stories of life, love and loss unfold every single day.
44-year-old Anita is rushed to QMC after suffering a cardiac arrest at home, where her teenage son and mum had to perform CPR. ED Registrar, Farhan and his team are in a race against the clock to pinpoint why Anita’s heart stopped. While the team in the resuscitation ward attend to Anita her mum, Sandra shares the family’s experiences of the challenges they have faced and how they have pulled together.
94-year-old Bob is in A&E with a head injury after falling in the street on his way home from work. While Rae, Advanced Clinical Practitioner assesses his condition, we hear from his daughter, Kate, about her dad’s life in Nottingham and why he is known as ‘Mr Sunshine’.
5-year-old Lottie is in the children’s emergency department with her mum, Sian after injuring her leg whilst dancing in the kitchen at home. While they wait for the results of Lottie’s X-ray, Sian opens up about Lottie’s diagnosis and her determination to not let it slow her down.
During September and October 2021, NUH welcomed cameras into QMC for the first series to be filmed outside of London. Cameras returned to QMC in 2023 to bring you another series of this inspiring documentary.
24 Hours in A&E, which is made by The Garden, part of ITV Studios, has become one of the most popular documentary series on Channel 4, having aired more than 300 episodes. You can catch up on previous episodes at channel4.com.
