Edition 20 | For B2C Companies Making £0-15k?MRR
B2C business owners, listen up...
If your company is generating £0-15k in monthly revenue, please stop using paid ads agencies.
At least ones that follow a traditional agency model.
Why?
Suppose you're an e-commerce owner with a monthly revenue of around £10k.
You’re likely spending a quarter of that—£2.5k—on agency fees alone.
That’s £2.5k gone before you’ve even allocated a single penny towards running ads.
Now, let’s factor in the ad spend. Say you’re spending another £2.5k per month on ads. That’s a total of £5k gone just on agency fees and ad spend.
So, you’re left with £5k from your revenue.
If your average product sells for £50 and you’re working with a 30% profit margin, each sale nets you £15 in profit.
To cover your £5k in agency fees and ad spend, you’d need to sell at least 334 products each month...just to break even on these costs.
And this is not even considering your operational costs like shipping, production, staff, or other overheads.
Here’s the thing—it typically takes PPC agencies about three months to get to grips with your business and start producing meaningful results.
That’s £15k spent on fees and ad spend in those three months. You’d need to sell 1,000 products just to cover those costs.
This doesn’t leave much room for actual profit, and you might find you’re better off handling the ads yourself.
I founded Baltic Digital Marketing because I saw this scenario repeatedly while working in the industry.
Clients locked into retainers that should’ve ended quicker than Liz Truss.

Agencies overcharging, knowing full well that the strategies they’re implementing won’t deliver significant returns.
And this isn’t just a problem with PPC agencies—SMEs are being exploited across the entire marketing agency ecosystem.
So, if you’re still with me—as Thomas Jefferson said, “Knowledge is power.” But let’s be honest—you also need proper implementation, (which I’ll get to shortly).
With the right knowledge, there’s no need to fork out for these excessive agency fees.
You’re not making enough to waste months of revenue on strategies that don’t bring fast, healthy ROI.
Here’s our solution…
1) We audit everything—all your existing marketing expenditures and activities.
2) We identify what will actually work, putting together a prioritised and priced task list.
3) We implement tasks within your budget.
4) We provide ongoing support and knowledge transfer to you and your team
Many agencies try to mould services designed for larger businesses to fit smaller ones, which almost always ends in tears.
Baltic is designed specifically for businesses like yours, with services built from the ground up to meet the unique needs of smaller companies.
We understand that every SME has different budgets and needs.
Some want us to take full control, while others prefer to pay us an hourly rate to handle complex tasks as an extension of their team.
