?? The Angel We All Know: What's Behind Her Perfect Facade?
You know her. She's always been certain she couldn't change because, in her mind, that's just who she is. You know she’s always been under the impression that people love her for what she brings to the table. She’s this super caring person, always so helpful, and offers unwavering support to anyone in need. Her high empathy and superhero factor earned her the “angel” title. She is like this perfect being in everyone’s eyes. We all have someone like her around us, don’t we? But with all that, how could she ever consider being any different?
?? Breaking the "Good Girl" Curse
She's been a "good girl" for as long as she can remember. Referred to as someone uncomplicated and reliable. That's what people always said about her. That's how people introduced her. But now, after the worst had passed, she wanted to get back to normal life. But it felt impossible.
?? Life in Doubt: Challenging Every Assumption
Everything was subject to questioning, from how she felt at any moment to how she communicated with others, and how people looked at her. She found herself questioning things that had been obvious to her forever. Questions like:
?? Seeing Clearly: A New Outlook on Life
Nothing was obvious anymore. She was looking at everything, standing on the outside of herself. Her goggles were off for the first time. When I say everything, I mean her interactions, her relationships, even the one she had with herself. She couldn't help it. But, defying death and risking losing it all had changed everything, starting with her perception of life and herself. It had changed her. It's hard to explain.
?? Mind Makeover: How Your Brain's Wired and Why It Matters
Just imagine the mind is a fuse box with cables everywhere. Those cables get her to function, reason, think, and feel how she does. They have been attached to one another in a certain way since she was about seven, maybe eight years old. They help her create connections and establish fixed patterns. Since that age, her brain has been wired the exact same way. It hasn't changed, meaning she constantly makes the same connections, uses the same patterns, makes the same assumptions, and has the same type of reasoning.
? Mind Meltdown: The Big Life Questions
But with what happened, with the realization that she could die any minute, the whole system was affected. Some of the cables detached from one another, causing this whole line of questioning to start:
Leading her to ponder HOW to change her thoughts.
?? Ready for Change: Embracing Your True Self
She was conscious there was no switch she could just flick and go back to her past self. But she couldn't pretend this wasn't happening. For the first time ever, she could see clearly. She couldn't shake that feeling that the C…, the miraculous recovery, all of it happened for her.
?? Letting Go: Finding Strength in Surrender
She had that certainty, that unshakable conviction. She was ready to surrender, to let the truth unveil itself and come to her. But as part of it, something had to give. That something was her.
?? Owning It: The Power of Taking Responsibility
Most people don't get it, but whatever we resist in life persists until we confront it. It's so difficult to look at what we have, what we lack, and take responsibility. It's one of the hardest things anyone can do. That’s why we rather turn around and look for anyone else to blame. And when we can't find anyone, we blame the government, the economy, or we blame God. Because looking inward and taking responsibility feels horrendous.
? The Power of Owning Your Life
When taking responsibility is the most empowering thing to do. It’s like telling our brain that we had a part in creating the current situation. It's like admitting our power. Think about it. If we were able to create the problem we're experiencing, we have the power to fix it. We have the power to create something else, something better.

?? Awakening: Embrace Your Power
This was her moment. This was her awakening. This was her opportunity to take responsibility as the creator of her events, her situations, her life. She wouldn't miss it for the world. She was just unsure about how to do this. She wanted guidance. Meditation was helpful, but she needed someone to guide her on the right path and, most importantly, to keep her there.
?? Bracing for Change: Overcoming Life's Challenges
She was already forecasting that her professional life, her role as a mother, a wife, and a devoted friend, would pull her back into what she had always done. But this time, something had to give. It was as real and serious as a coffin, as serious as death can be. There was no way around this. She was determined to change. This is how she made a simple decision that changed her entire life. Like I always say, change is just a decision away. This is the story of how we met.
?? Weekly Challenge: Embrace Your True Feelings
As we close this second episode of our transformation series, I want to leave you with something powerful to do. Take less than a few minutes to reflect on your life and your feelings.
?? Start Now: Easy Steps to Empower Yourself
You still need to make an effort, but all you need is your phone.
You no longer have an excuse. You can start working on your growth right now. Empower yourself starting right now. I’m here for you. Share your experience in the comment thread or send me a private message.
?? Let’s Get This Started:
?? Reflect: What Feelings Keep Coming Back?
Look at your life. Look at your feelings. What is the one feeling that you keep re-experiencing over again? Is it rejection? Is it guilt? Is it the fear of abandonment? Is it the feeling of being used? Is it not being enough? Not belonging? Or the belief that whatever you want is not available to you?
??♀? Face Your Feelings: Honest Self-Reflection
Whatever that feeling is, sit with yourself in a safe environment. Use your mobile phone to record yourself answering these questions. Picture me with you in that room. Do not overthink or filter your answers. Don't hide from your own truth. Respond openly.
?? Need Clarity?
Message me. Send me a private message. Because just like the hero of this real-life story, this may be your time to empower yourself. To realize that what you are experiencing and feeling is not just happening to you but for you. Do it to better your life. Do it because you want a quick chat with a professional. This will not be a sales call but one to bring you some clarity.
?? Transforming Recurring Feelings
This exercise is a step towards acknowledging and transforming those recurring feelings that hold you back. Embrace this opportunity to rewire your mind and step into your power. Look, this may be your time to empower yourself to realize that what you’re experiencing and feeling is not happening to you but for you so you can better your life. I want you to think about this. How long will you wait? How bad does it have to get before you choose to make yourself the priority? Your job here is to empower yourself just by making a simple decision. Mine is to guide you when you need me.

6 个月Wow! I’m loving what you say here and the assignment Maty Mariko ! Thank you! When I first heard I had to take 100% responsibility for everything in my life, it was like a slap in the face. Brutal. One of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But also the most transformative. It opened more doors than I ever imagined. Though even after 13 years, I still catch myself sometimes blaming others before looking within. Your line of questioning is fascinating. I’m definitely going to use it. Thanks for this self-reflective moment. Super helpful!??
