Episode 11. Award winning, adaptive underwear designer, Funmi Lawal tells her story

So a friend of mine Juana, has suggested that I write a blog to accompany The All4Inlusion Pod each week.

Prior to this blog we've released ten episodes and I won't lie, but I've been taken back by some of the feedback received from both the guests of the podcast and people listening. Whether the podcast is listened to by one person or by thousands, to me the most important thing is that it helps people and makes a difference to someone.

Now, I'm not very good at writing, my written English is not very good. I'm happy for people to point out any errors, but I'm going to proceed without having a proof reader for now. If you suddenly notice my grammar improve; it's either as a result of your feedback or I've got a proof reader.

So today's podcast is about a lady called Funmi Lawal who has turned an idea in to reality. The inspiration came from her lived experience recovering from a stroke shortly after giving birth. Whilst she was receiving care and during her physio sessions she felt embarrassed suffering the indignity of getting changed each day, unable to maintain her privacy.

There was nothing available on the market, fast forward a number of years and there was still nothing available to buy. This was when Funmi set the wheels in motion to start Clip Knix, an award winning adaptive patented front fastening underwear for women.

The journey has been far from easy for Funmi - tune in as she talks you through her story.

Since recording the podcast, Funmi is facing another tough challenge due to someone replicating her front fastening underwear despite the patent.
