EPIC is new Gold Partner to W3+ FAIR in Germany
Innovative technology networking trade fair for the optics, electronics and mechanics industries is preparing for its 5th event in Wetzlar, the long-standing hub of the industry/ Wetzlar Network and EPIC combining to form new Gold Partner team.
EPIC, the European Photonics Industry Consortium, is the new Gold Partner to the W3+ FAIR. Coordinated by the organiser Fleet Events of Hamburg - this move means the successful event series will be even better placed to expand internationally as it enters its fifth year. The consortium is augmented by Wetzlar Network, the founding partner of the event in 2014. “EPIC is our dream partner”, confirms Christoph Rénevier, Managing Director of Fleet Events. “It means we are now flanked by an actively engaged team of experts on hand to provide a broad base of international know-how, together with a network of contacts both at home and abroad. This will allow us to use the W3+ FAIR to deliver even greater impetus within the industry. This is our perception of the trade fair, and it should provide the foundations for continued growth, including internationally.”
This opinion is shared by Carlos Lee, Director General of EPIC: “EPIC is excited to support the W3+ FAIR as the topics addressed at this exhibition are directly in scope of our association. This platform is forward-looking, and takes place in a hub of the optics industry. EPIC has an international network spread across 30 countries, and we invite to Wetzlar all our stakeholders involved in optics, electronics and mechanics.” EPIC was already involved at last year's event, where its informative “Tech Watch” sessions enabled vendors and developers to exchange ideas on practical issues.
The event is based on an industry initiative in Wetzlar and Middle Hesse intended to promote networking between the three sectors of optics, electronics and mechanics. The aim is that new connections will pave the way for future-oriented technologies. The trade fair was held for the first time in February 2014 in the Rittal Arena in Wetzlar. A highlight of the trade fair is its high-quality and largely free supporting programme. The W3+ FAIR is organised by the Hamburg trade fair organiser FLEET Events. The event is supported by the gold partners Wetzlar Network, from which it takes its name, and the EPIC (European Photonics Industry Consortium).
