Epic AI Resume Fails

There are many reasons AI resumes fail to get interviews ...

Sure, you could generate thousands of AI resumes in a day, but how many interviews would this actually generate ... maybe a few.

And what about the quality of an interview, where you used AI to engineer your background, when AI lies about your background to force your resume to match the job description (even when it doesn't).

But let's talk epic - here are a few examples of how AI makes your resume into an epic fail:

• Resumes written by/augmented by AI age able to be recognized (and screened out) by AI enhanced ATSs, because they don't represent your written communication ability.
• When you use AI to generate a version of your resume that is tailored to a job description, what happens when you don't actually meet one or more criteria? AI creates lies on your resume, and you won't be able to support it in an interview, that's what happens.
• When AI tools generate your resume (or tailor it), the AI tools find average results from automated internet searches to show you meet qualifications ... AI generated and enhanced resumes only make you appear qualified, and qualified makes you average in 2025's job market.
• Even if you took an AI class or passed a basic AI certification, you're a kindergarten-level AI user. Unless you're an experienced Machine Learning Engineer, you don't have the knowledge to train AI tools to generate natural sounding language. In other words, your resume fails, because it proves to employers that you suck at AI.

Good thing there are more effective ways to find a great job faster than having AI generate or tailor your resume ...
