EPATT's Advantage: Academic Impact in only 5 Weeks!

This summer, we maintained a rigorous tutoring schedule with Advantage students from the 2023/24 school year. After only five weeks of Advantage tutoring, the progress of the rising 8th graders is a testament to the dedication and hard work of both our tutors and students. The impressive results clearly highlight the effectiveness of their combined efforts in achieving their goals.

• 86% met or exceeded their Stretch Goal in reading. Just one year ago, these students were three to six years below grade level.
• 83% experienced one year of improvement after 5 weeks of tutoring: 83% of the rising 8th grade students who took their iReady diagnostic this summer improved by at least one year.
• 50% experienced two years of reading level improvement after 5 weeks of tutoring: 50% of the rising 8th grade students who took their iReady diagnostic this summer improved by two years.
• 100% of these students did not experience any summer learning loss.

Our Advantage In-school Tutoring team looks forward to continuing to work with Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School (CCRMS) during the 24/25 school year, expanding our program to serve more students, and building on our encouraging results!
