How can you say “no” to others with confidence? Why is saying “no” difficult? Saying “no” to others can be incredibly difficult for emerging leaders and managers.
You might be a “people-pleaser”. You might feel guilty whenever you say “no”. Or you might be fearful of hurting or of being challenged.
These are normal fears.
However, if you want to advance into leadership, you need to learn how to set boundaries to protect your time, priorities and goals. In order to do this, you need to learn how to say “no” when you need to.
In Episode 10 of The Leadership Pod, you will learn what stops you from saying “no”, why it’s important for emerging leaders to say “no”, and how to say “no” to others.
In this episode, you will learn:
- How automatic conditioning stops you from saying “no”.
- The role that guilt, fear of offending and fear of being challenged plays in saying “no”.
- Why it’s important for emerging leaders to say “no”.
- What happens if you don’t say “no” when you need to.
- Two steps to saying “no” effectively.

4 年Yeah this is a tough one I think most of us face. I am still working on getting better at it the entire time, because being able to say no gives you more time and energy to do what you really want or need to do.
