Let's keep it real, lately, there has been an influx of people breaking down.
I've had a few of my close friends disclose as much.
There have also been a number of people confessing to the issue.
"I wish I could win in life," said my friend.
"What does winning in life mean to you?" I asked him.
"Well, no lows at all! Always on the up and up." He answered.
"Interesting!" I answered, then proceeded to add,
"I think winning in life is not living without lows but being able to bounce back. "
"Maybe bro," said he.
When I said the words above to him, it was totally instinctual.
I hadn't even considered the five remembrances that we began to tackle last week!
The truth is, we cannot fight with nature.
Today we get to cover the second remembrance out of the 5:
Very few of us remember this whenever we are undergoing challenges and discomfort either physically or mentally.
We get angry at ourselves for being angry.

We moil and wonder what we could've done differently to alleviate all the suffering.
Instead of treating it as part of life, we behave like it's a mistake.
This reminds me of a meme I saw a while ago on Reddit.
Our bodies understand that illness is part of the game.
It has probably fought off more illnesses than we care to know of.
All that is done for us to understand this crucial lesson,
We cannot escape illness as it is in our nature and if the recent floods have taught us anything is: We cannot fight nature.
That's how we'll get to thrive not despite our illnesses but because of them.
Embracing the emotional turmoil and physical hurt and discomfort as part of why we are here on earth.
You can't just want the trees and flowers in the jungle without acknowledging that the thorns exist.
Thorns are not a mistake in the jungle, they are in their perfect place.
Use this to embrace the tedious, ugly, and frustrating parts of your life.
Please find comfort in knowing you'll thrive because of them.
Have a BLESSED Weekend!
