Traveling by train is an experience that we all have to live one day. The first time is just beautiful. We have all seen those images of people staring into the horizon, sitting in an armchair on the train. Those scenes are so beautiful that they serve as wallpapers, or for memes with cheesy motivational phrases. For others, the emotion of the train is "arriving". Get together with a loved one who lives far away, or get to know an exotic place, which will again be used for photos with a cheesy phrase.
As an engineer, the image that I consider beautiful is that of the train's engine, of the gears, of the mathematical precision in the blueprints so that the train does not derail, and makes all passengers take their cheesy photos. My photos are full of oil, grease, wrenches and nuts and they always have gray tones. But that's what I like, what I'm passionate about. The view of the trip for me is very different, and the arrival is not a celebration, it is the end of the road. And that’s OK, that’s what I love.
Two years ago I joined EOS Nation' train as a volunteer. The trip has been full of great adventures, and I got to make great friends. Today EOS Nation is Block Producer #1 on the EOS mainnet. Two years of efforts by a great team are concluded today. Today the desired success begins to be experienced. Today, I have nothing more to do on this train.
As an engineer, I am not made to live the glamorous life of being #1. I despair without having something to do, something to fix, something to build. That is why I have to leave all the passengers I shared the rain with for two years and get on another train that needs me. I'll be glad to know how they celebrate success, how they become famous, how photos are taken to embellish them with cheesy phrases. I hope to see you again, in the future, when I help another train to get to their station.
Here is our cheesy photo, to remember who made us get here.
