EOD X-Ray Imaging Tools: What works and what is irrelevant and just added fluff?
In the world of EOD portable x-ray systems there are a ton of options available to manipulate the image. You have a buffet of options to do all kinds of things to the image so you can try and figure out what you are dealing with. The below is a list of just a few of them off the top of my head:
One vendor might call it one thing and another calls it something totally different but they are the same exact thing. Some have such vague descriptions in the manual you are asking yourself "what the heck is this for" and how can it help me to do my job. I love asking vendors what pseudo colors does and the answers I get are priceless. Does anybody really know what pseudo color does and how to actually use it as a tool?
So out of all of these options how many do we all actually use? If you could design your own x-ray menu for adjusting the image what options would (and should) be the basic set of imaging options? How many that you know of are totally worthless and just take up space on the screen.
Let me hear your thoughts and maybe the vendors are listening......:)

5 年First of all thank you for raising this issue which is very interesting. In this regard I could mention that it is really a challenge to interpret the image with some portable X Ray equipment. In my case it operated with the "Vidisco". One of the main limitations is the black and white image, because to be able to interpret the images you have to be training permanently. In my case at the airport, screening with RX equipment is done with the images in color, so changing the image in black and white makes it difficult to interpret the image.
