Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) Coordinator - South Sound / SW WA
Our client is seeking an EHS coordinator / manager for multiple processing sites in WA. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of all environmental compliance, health, and safety programs. Works with the Plant Manager, Production Management Teams, Maintenance, QA & Sanitation teams to develop, implement, and maintain written programs, inspection forms and guidelines, training curricula, policies and practices to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (such as OSHA, FSMA, HACCP, SQF, BRC)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Manages all aspects of environmental, health, safety and sustainable development programs
? Directs environmental compliance and performance functions in accordance with government regulations, corporate compliance guidelines and applicable environmental requirements
? Ensures submittal of all environmental reports
? Promotes an accident-free work environment by developing programs that train, monitor and assure a safe workplace
? Plans and delivers programs to train managers and employees in workplace safety practices
? Stays up to date on regulatory changes and initiatives and apprises managers and leaders of pertinent issues.

? Creates practical, proactive solutions for ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
? Monitors plant records for completion and accuracy.
? Audits the facility continuously. Identifies deficiencies and areas for improvement, ranks in order of risk, sets deadlines and follows through to verify abatement.
? Acts as an in-house resource on technical issues within areas of responsibility.
? Implements initiatives to reduce and prevent work-related injuries and illnesses
? SQF practitioner (HACCP) for safe quality foods initiatives.
? Guides and directs plant toward compliance of State, Federal and local Safety and Environmental regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:
? EHS experience required.
? College degree preferred.
? Working knowledge of or ability to learn environmental and safety regulations that apply to food production in WA, such as air, wastewater, storm water, solid and hazardous waste regulations, industrial safety and hygiene.
Compensation:
Annual Salary: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 DOE
Compensation also includes employer paid Medical, Dental, vision and 401(k) with an attractive Paid Time Off package & flexible work-schedules.
