Environment or Money? No. Both!!

I am so, so tired of the endless debate regarding environmentalism vs. economics - when there actually IS no debate. No need for one.

So, let me say this as clearly as I know how to. There IS NO DEBATE! In fact, there is no NEED for a debate. There is no need to choose. More to the point, CHOOSING IS POINTLESS and benefits no one!!

OK, before this turns into some kind of a rant, allow me to explain.

INCONTROVERTIBLE FACT #1: The greenest energy is the energy that you never used, and thus nobody ever had to create. Period.

Carbon = Zero.

INCONTROVERTIBLE FACT #2: The cheapest energy that you will ever buy is the energy that you did not have to buy. Period.

Cost = Zero.

It does not matter if you are a dreadlocked, patchouli-wearing eco-warrior or a stereotypical evil capitalist that enjoys urinating on your neighbors' flowers just to watch them die... both of the above facts remain true. ...and they can benefit your cause.

What this means is that no matter what your motivations - conservation is king! Waste is the enemy.

NOTE: The days when conservation meant sacrifice are behind us. Today's technologies actually allow us to improve our indoor environments - making them more comfortable not less - while still saving Millions.
