ENVI 5.6.2 and IDL 8.8.2 is now available!

We are super excited to announce that the ENVI? 5.6.2 and IDL? 8.8.2 software releases are now available for download?from our L3Harris Download and License Center: https://harrisgeospatial.flexnetoperations.com.

These releases focus on performance improvements, new platform support, and new data access support. Highlights of the improvements and new features include:

• Support for new ENVI data types
• Meteosat Second Generation - Level 1.5
• Landsat 9 - Collection 2: Level 1 & 2, Analysis Ready Data
• STANAG 4676 - Track Points Edition B
• SuperView-1 - Level-1B & Level-2A multispectral and panchromatic data
• Xtreme Viewer for fast animation of MIE4NITF video frames (ENVI NITF module)
• Several new ENVI Toolbox tools and ENVITasks
• New ENVI Methane Index
• Ability to filter records by attributes in ENVI
• Multi-select in the ENVI Layer Manager and Data Manager
• ENVINITF::WriteMetadata function method
• IDL procedure updates: WRITE_TIFF - COMPRESSION keyword & SAVE - EMBED keyword
• IDL library updates

Note: These releases do not require a new license and will continue to run with your ENVI 5.6 and IDL 8.8 licensing!
