The Entrepreneurship Journey

The Entrepreneurship Journey

Entrepreneurship is defined differently depending on how everyone contextualizes it.

It is sometimes mixed up with self-employment which seems different, but anyway both lead you to a place of trial and error.

This is a path the majority want to take but it is merged with fear, failure, patience, loss, rebuilding, and facing resistance from your would-be customers because of already existing products and services that might be identical to yours.?

I always define entrepreneurship as an opportunity to try out everything you want to be aimed at solving an existing product or service gap in the market but Since most products and services already exist, the question of “how different you are” will always set in and this should be your selling point.

The journey is full of mistakes, trying, and learning which translates into a formidable force moving forward, the ability to learn from mistakes and failures helps entrepreneurs to develop a tough skin needed to achieve success at the end of the tunnel. Like many say, refer to a bed of roses, there are those on roses which if not handled well they will cause harm.

Set your mind to learn along the way and never expect to yield immediately, entrepreneurship isn’t kagwirawo. You can either expect losses for the first 1 year or just break even and profits as well. It is all about the choice of your journey and the direction you envision taking. If you think your business will be your immediate bill taker without giving it time to build muscle to support your non-business associated expenses.

As an entrepreneur your vision, the mission are crystal clear to yourself but oftentimes it always makes no sense to others until when you prove them wrong. It’s your responsibility to constantly paint this picture to others, along the way some will join you as investors, partners,....and even those you think to believe in?you may never be close to supporting any of your ideas.

Think of this journey into yourself, your target investor, your target market, and silent competitors that are imaginary.

Last but not least, an entrepreneurship journey is the ability to lose some of your precious in exchange for seed funds(capital). Trust me few are willing to bet on you on a thing they aren’t sure will work or not, and besides people already have proven profitable models. Make sure you always have a thing to let go of to gain capital for your entrepreneurship journey.

There are many things we can talk about here, and I would like to invite you to comment, add or share with us your entrepreneurship experience.
