When others share their accomplishments or achievements, I see many others rushing to congratulate them on their success.
In my experience, success is not a destination — it’s more of a journey.
While you may achieve several milestones or points of success — opening your business, getting your first client, achieving a profit, hiring an employee — these are all successes!
But it doesn’t mean that you’re done.
It’s a journey in that you must continue to do it otherwise everything could stop.
I’m sure at one point you may not need to continue to do it. I don’t know anyone that has achieved that, but if they have, maybe they have now moved to retirement or volunteer work, or working only as they need or want to.
Otherwise, they continue to do more to fulfill their personal journey, their financial requirements or obligations, or for the family.
BEFORE YOU GO:
We see our blogs as opportunities for dialogue. Please share your thoughts as comments.
As you continue your journey of entrepreneurship, please think about:
- What milestone do you want to celebrate as success?
- What does success mean to you?
- What other tools have you used to empower yourself into moving forward regardless of the results?
