To Entrepreneurs About to Quit for A Paycheck
Every entrepreneur has been broke, depressed, ready to quit, kick and scream. FACT.
Social media will tell you "it's because you don't want it enough" or "just follow your vision" or something like that where the blame is being put on YOU.
As an entrepreneur myself I disagree. Sometimes it just doesn't work out and you need to move on. Being able to let go of an idea you had when you realize it hasn't worked doesn't blacklist you from the Hall of Fame of entrepreneurship.
In fact, I would say that most entrepreneurs I've spoken to either had a steady job with a paycheck before they began entrepreneurship, or in many cases worked a side job with a steady paycheck so they could pay their expenses and build their dreams on the side.
When you give up on YOURSELF- that's when you've failed as an entrepreneur, but until that point- stop killing yourself.
Let it breathe, take a step back, refresh and give something else a shot. You can come back to a different idea later. Daymond John from Shark Tank talks all the time about how many times he went bankrupt, and how he worked at Red Lobster for years and put in time on the side to build up a dream.
Randall Thompson from Dugout Mugs took a job as a waiter and an apartment?in his sisters garage until he finally found his way to an amazing company.
Don't get stuck on your idea but don't ever give up on YOURSELF.
You rock and you know it!

3 年Yes, very good read. As for employers, I'd say give entrepreneurs a shot at your company, if they are seeking a job. Entrepreneurs are self starters - what company doesn't love self starters?
