Entrepreneurs: The Key to Driving the SA Economy
South Africa is faced with many challenges but no one would disagree that South African's are an industrious population. Many globally successful entrepreneurs have come out of this country. Think Mark Shuttleworth and Elon Musk.
Research conducted by Thebe Reed Exhibitions shows that entrepreneurs - across all demographics - are the key to driving (reviving?) the economy. With big corporates slashing budgets and workforces the time is now for people to start their own businesses. There are myriad opportunities for entrepreneurs but they are not always well promoted.
Our 22 year old Business Entrepreneurship & Franchise Expo (BEFE) is an established live advertising board for business opportunities in South Africa. The near 9 000 visitors to the show each year have access to leading franchises and other potential new businesses.
We feel that, given our expertise, we have an obligation to the population to promote avenues that can help drive the business environment.
The event also promotes BEE suppliers to companies looking to access that market. With new regulations being introduced that dictate how much procurement needs to go to BEE suppliers, finding the best partners is going to be critical to business success.
If you're motivated to be part of the solution to South Africa's economic stagnation then take the step toward being your own boss. Allowing you take advantage of all the opportunities that exist within our country.
