Culture eats strategy for breakfast. *

All businesses may start with vision and strategy, but to make that sustainable you must foster the right culture. There are certain characteristics that set business visionaries apart. Entrepreneurs think out of the box, they are early adopters, and they prepare and know when to seize opportunity. The most successful entrepreneurs understand that the people they bring on board are not just cogs in the machine but rather the builders of its foundation.

Throughout my career I have taken great pride in being a foundational builder; a builder of concepts to create impact, a builder of people to creatively align impact, and a builder of the narrative that connects the dots -- that are often left dangling in a strategic plan-- to architect a business's impact. All of the pieces in aggregate are important and creating/building something that people want to be involved in is that coveted "magic sauce'. It ALL starts with the people.
