Act 1

Entrapment. To begin this story, I wanted to make sure everyone who reads it has a clear and present understanding of the word Entrapment, its meaning (to catch in or as if in a trap) and how it’s used by the Law.

Entrapment is a practice in which a law enforcement agent or agent of the state induces a person (that someone would be me) to commit a "crime" that the person would have otherwise been unlikely or unwilling to commit.

In other worlds this is a story about how the conception and planning of an offense by an officer or agent at the AZ police Dept or the AZ Dept of Liquor or both colluded to convince Anton Ortiz, someone who called himself my friend and his wife Cindy to lure me into danger, difficulty, and a compromising situation through trickery, persuasion and fraud of the officer or state agent.

Officer or state agents conduct rising to the level of entrapment is broadly discouraged and thus, in many jurisdictions, is available as a defense against criminal liability. Sting operations, through which police officers or agents engage in deception to try to catch persons who are committing crimes, raise concerns about possible entrapment.

While on the other hand depending on the law in the jurisdiction, the prosecution may be required to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was not entrapped, or the defendant may be required to prove that they were entrapped as an affirmative defense.

The reason I named this story Entrapment is quite simple. You see years ago, I decided to go into the liquor business after spending over ten years developing my luxury brand. Then after winning a bronze medal in the San Francisco World Spirit Competition. An exceptional win considering the Naturell luxury brand competed against hundreds of well-known brands placing third behind an internationally known brand that’s been on the market since the 1860’s. I decided it was time to launch my brand.

In doing so I first contracted with a local distillery and paid them upfront to contract produce my products. I then reached out to other vendors to produce the raw materials I needed and have them shipped to the distillery in Flagstaff Arizona. I then applied for an AZ wholesalers license and that’s when all hell broke lose and I found myself charged with four felonies and a misdemeanor for things they know never happened.

As it turns out I found one of the reasons I was indited and charged with four felonies was because one of the Dana Kanzler, one of the owners of the distillery I paid to produce my products testified under oath in front of a Grand Jury that he was not in business with me. He stated he hardly knew me. This I found out much later. I am not sure if he was pressured into making such a statement or if he just lost his memory in an instant. But I find it ironic he did not forget to cash my check.

As court went on my then attorney started to produce these things called timestamped documents and email with dates, times and words on them such as the ones below. (By clicking on each image below) one would clearly know this man Dana Kanzler was in business with me to produce my product. Isn’t it amazing how facts trump lies?

It's also amazing that the state allowed Dana Kanzler to knowingly lie to a Grand Jury for the soul purpose of convicting me. I personally delivered a copy of the contract between the distillery and my company to the AZ Dept of Liquor. The world knows if a Black person lied to a Grand Jury, they would be held accountable. But when it comes to white privilege the law in Arizona only works for whites.

Over the next year and a half as their case fell apart, they tried a hell marry, you got, Entrapment. They sent another Black man and several others to help them take me down. I give them an A for effort, but they failed and eventually all charges were drop in 2013. By this time, I estimate they cost me over a billion dollars.
