Entrance Exams start at SIUT

On July 22nd, entrance exams began at the Samarkand International University of Technology (SIUT). The university’s rector, Professor Yusuf Abdullaev, and the members of the Admissions Committee, consisting of foreign professors, warmly welcomed the applicants and their parents, wishing them success in the exams.

The rector emphasized that under the leadership of the President, our country has created ample opportunities for obtaining quality higher professional education, unleashing talents, and developing the skills of youth. The university is ready to accept and educate a new generation of qualified specialists.

One of the most important criteria for the university’s success is the preparation of qualified specialists with quality education.

The entrance exams are held to select the best applicants who will become competent specialists in the future.

For the parents of the applicants, SIUT has organized waiting areas where they can observe the testing process online via a live stream on a large screen. To ensure transparency of the entrance exams, foreign professors of the university have been engaged as observers.

Dilshoda Khabibova, the mother of applicant Aziza Rakhmatjonova, said, “My daughter is taking the test today in the ‘Entrepreneurship and Management’ program. She prepared well, especially in mathematics and English. I came to support her and wish her luck. The opportunity for parents to observe the testing process of their children in online mode was very pleasing to us.”

Applicant Sardor Khotamov shared, “As everyone knows, everything around us is created by human hands - from the most ordinary things to the modern technology. The first step to becoming a creator is to choose the right direction and study it deeply. I saw this opportunity at SIUT and without hesitation chose ‘Chemical Engineering’. I think I did well on the exams and I sincerely want to become a student of this university.”

Applicant Aliya Hamidova said, “I chose SIUT based on my desires, interests, and goals. Before submitting the documents, I participated in the ‘Open Doors Day’ event at the university and then got acquainted in detail with the achievements of the university, the faculty, and the conditions created for students. Then, after consulting with my parents, I firmly decided to apply for ‘International Logistics’. I'm sure I didn’t make a mistake in my choice.”

It should be noted that about 40 foreign professors and teachers with advanced experience in leading educational and scientific-technical centers of countries such as the USA, China, India, South Korea, France, Russia, Canada, Sri Lanka, Iran, South Africa, Cameroon, Portugal, Indonesia, Philippines, Tunisia, Palestine, and Pakistan are involved in the educational process of the Samarkand International University of Technology.

In addition, the university, in collaboration with the Colorado School of Mines (a US State Research University), has developed a “Master Plan for 2022-2032” that includes curricula and programs in 11 engineering and business schools. The entire academic process at the university is conducted in English.

For reference: the entrance exams will run from July 22 to July 26, 2024. The testing is conducted in two shifts:

• 1st shift - from 9:00 to 12:20;
• 2nd shift - from 14:00 to 17:20.
