Enterprising Cloud Base Services Worth Or Not ?

It has always been to me that cloud computing is playing a key role in improvisation of IT at low costs, but simultaneously the thing that was always in my mind was that security incidents and cyber attacks have been the main concern for cloud computing and also for companies that have invested a lot of capital in it .
The reason I am embossing this topic is that while I was going through some websites I found that many major websites have crashed down simultaneously like NETFLIX , UBER , BBC . The cause of this simultaneous shut down is still unclear. But one of the main reasons of this would be service interruption in cloud services.

also, there have been many incidents regarding cloud service interruptions .
The following are the two categories that companies should look into while investing their capital,
(1) MANAGED IT SERVICES
(2) CLOUD SERVICES .
In managed IT services there is less dependence unlike cloud services where every thing is remote.
So before choosing cloud services companies have to think twice whether the services will be really worth to the invested capital. In case of failure in cloud services, time taken to recover and data loss would lead to confrontation between the client and the company ( not the cloud service company ).
HENCEFORTH, before selecting a cloud service the key factors to be considered are -
(i) security and compliance
(ii)service availability
(iii)service level agreements
(iv)performance and versatility
(v)cost
(vi)maintenance and sustainability
THIS POST IS NOT AGAINST SELECTION OF CLOUD SERVICES .

8 年Quite informative Shridhar K. I would like to add here that cloud is I guess still not that functional as it should be. Security and availability are still the major concerns.
