The new training offerings are made possible by the partnership between the SAP Learning organization and Accenture. The combination of SAP's partner-led training programs and Accenture's service offerings will enable organizations to promote a "culture of learning" by helping their teams explore technology, functional, and other industry skills.
Ataccama Announces New Ataccama Lineage Offering
Ataccama, a data trust company, has launched Ataccama Lineage, a new module within its Ataccama ONE unified data trust platform (V16). The new module is built to provide enterprise-wide visibility into data flows, offering organizations a clear view of their data’s journey from source to consumption. It's fully integrated with Ataccama’s data quality, observability, governance, and master data management capabilities, which will enable organizations to make faster, more informed decisions, such as ensuring audit readiness and meeting regulatory compliance requirements.
BARC Measures the Value of Data Assets, Products & AI Solutions
BARC recently released a survey-based report that examines the economic benefits and cost considerations of data assets. The report, authored by BARC Fellow Doug Laney, includes insights from over 250 participants and measures the cost side of data alongside its revenue potential. Its aim is to equip data and business executives with the insights they need to understand and articulate the value of their data-related assets along with their analytics and AI implementations.
Cisco Announces New Solutions to Help Service Providers Deliver AI Connectivity
Cisco, a global networking and security provider, has announced new solutions to help service providers deliver AI connectivity. The new offerings include Cisco Silicon One Systems and Platforms, Cisco Coherent Pluggable Optics, and additional network automation and assurance features. Together, these solutions will equip service providers with tools to evolve their networks, develop new offerings, and monetize the services that support AI traffic. The network automation and assurance features are available now, as is the Silicon One-powered 8000 series. The first of Cisco's Coherent Pluggable Optics will begin shipping in Spring 2025.
Cisco Debuts the First AI Agent it Jointly Developed with Mistral AI
Cisco, a global leader in security and networking, has launched the first jointly developed AI Agent from its strategic partnership with Mistral AI. The AI Renewals Agent is designed to enhance and streamline Cisco's renewal proposal creation process by consolidating structured and unstructured data from over 50 signals and sources and providing real-time sentiment analysis, summarized recommendations, intelligent automation, and personalization, all tied to customer outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs). The agent is built from a custom AI model and can operate on-premises to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance.
Confluent Partners with Databricks on AI Development
Confluent, a data streaming pioneer, has announced a major expansion to its partnership with Databricks, the Data and AI company. The extended collaboration will combine Confluent’s complete Data Streaming Platform and Databricks’ Data Intelligence Platform to empower enterprises with real-time data for AI-driven decision-making. Additionally, the companies will release new integrations that connect Confluent's Tableflow and Databricks Unity Catalog, allowing businesses to build AI applications more efficiently.
CyberArk Acquires Zilla Security
CyberArk, a global provider of identity security solutions, has acquired Zilla Security, a modern Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solution. With Zilla's AI-powered IGA capabilities, CyberArk will expand its Identity Security Platform with scalable automation to enable accelerated identity compliance and provisioning across digital environments while maximizing security and operational efficiency. The acquisition will also help CyberArk equip users with additional tools for risk mapping, authentication management, automated lifecycle management, privilege controls, policy, governance, compliance, and more.
Hitachi Vantara Partners with BMC
Hitachi Vantara—a data storage, infrastructure, and hybrid cloud management subsidiary of Hitachi—has announced an alliance with BMC Software, a global software solutions provider that helps companies innovate and optimize faster on mainframe and open systems environments. The partnership aims to improve enterprises' operational capabilities with easily deployable solutions tailored for hybrid cloud environments. For example, the combination of the BMC AMI mainframe software portfolio with Hitachi Vantara's Virtual Storage Platform One and Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) will provide users with features capable of streamlining operations across mainframes and reducing operating costs.
monday.com Shares Details its AI Vision for 2025
monday.com, a low-code/no-code platform for work management, has shared details on its AI Vision, which represents its key focus areas for 2025. The company's strategy will focus on three pillars—AI Blocks, Product Power-ups, and the Digital Workforce—to support its ongoing plan to democratize the power of software. Daniel Lereya, Chief Product and Technology Officer at monday.com, says, "monday.com's AI Vision is not just about adding new features; it's about reimagining how work gets done, unlocking infinite possibilities, and empowering businesses to scale like never before. With a majority of our customers in non-tech industries, they're looking to us to lead them through the AI transformation."
Palo Alto Networks Reveals the Newest Addition to its Prisma Cloud Offering
Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity provider, has announced Cortex Cloud, the latest version of its Prisma Cloud offering. Cortex Cloud provides customers with AI and automation functionalities designed to help customers improve their protection at a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). Those features include additional application security, AI-powered tools for prioritizing cloud risks, native integration with the Cortex XDR agent, a new Cloud Runtime Security capability, and tools for providing end-to-end context across code, runtime, cloud, and newly introduced third-party scanners.
Sage Introduces New Tools and Features to Sage Intacct
Sage—an accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology provider for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs)—has announced several AI-driven tools and automation features for Sage Intacct. With these enhancements, finance teams can save time, get trusted insights faster, and focus on growth by simplifying compliance, enhancing decision-making, and improving operational efficiency. The new tools include Sage Copilot Search Help, Sage Copilot Variance Analysis, Sage Copilot Close Assistant, new purchasing functionalities for its AP Automation tool, Clinical eProcurement, and revenue management enhancements.
SAP Details the SAP Business Data Cloud Solution
SAP has announced details on SAP Business Data Cloud, a new solution designed to unify all SAP and third-party data throughout an organization. The new offering—which comes about as part of the ongoing partnership between SAP and Databricks—can harmonize data from all of an organization's "mission-critical" applications with data engineering and business analytics capabilities. Additionally, the solution is natively embedded with Databricks' technology for data engineering, machine learning, and AI workloads. Ali Ghodsi, co-founder and CEO of Databricks, says, “By joining forces with SAP, we’re helping organizations bring together all their data—regardless of format or where it lives—to govern, analyze, and build domain-specific AI applications on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.”
Tines Receives $125 Million in Series C Financing
Tines, an AI-powered workflow provider, has raised $125 million in Series C financing, bringing the company's total valuation to $1.125 billion. The round was led by Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, with participation from new investors SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Activant, alongside existing investors Accel, Felicis, CrowdStrike Falcon Fund, and Addition. Tines will use this funding to accelerate its product innovation efforts to help users connect AI software and LLMs with the data they rely on to perform tasks at optimal efficiency.
