In modern IT landscape when the focus of #enterprisearchitect is there on #digitalbusinesstransformation, it always required to integrate application with many 3rd party APIs, legacy system, cloud services and many heterogeneous systems of all ages and natures, integrating such applications may have following challenges:

• Protocol: Applications can accept input from a variety of means, ranging from a local filesystem, HTTP, FTP or RESTful API.
• Data format: Application can use plain text, xml, Json or any other format to exchange data.
• Invocation styles: This may be Synchronous, asynchronous, RPC, messaging, and batch call semantics entail very different integration strategies.
