But before we continue i also wanted to emphasize the importance of this certification and why i think, it is a must for every project manager and or consultant, so here we go:
Why Enterprise Design Thinking Matters in Consultancy
In traditional consultancy, the focus has long been on data-driven analysis, industry benchmarks, and best practices to guide decision-making; so, while these methods provide valuable insights, they often fall short when tackling challenges that are deeply human in nature.
Therefore understanding the real needs and behaviors of users and stakeholders, fostering seamless collaboration across business, design, and technology teams, and navigating uncertainty in complex environments require more than just numbers, in fact, they demand a user-centered, iterative, and collaborative approach.
This is where Enterprise Design Thinking (EDT) makes a profound difference, because by shifting the focus to the people at the heart of every challenge, EDT enables consultants to bridge the gap between strategy and execution and this is extremely important for any consultant who is focused on applying the knowledge in his projects.
Matter of fact, it emphasizes rapid prototyping, real-time feedback, and cross-functional alignment, which ensures that solutions are not only innovative but also viable, practical, and impactful.
For me earning the Co-Creator certification is more than just an achievement; it’s a powerful step toward reshaping the way consultants drive change and because of that, i think that the certification equips professionals with the tools to lead teams through complex problem-solving, align stakeholders around shared goals, and ultimately, deliver solutions that create real value.
How Co-Creators Transform Consultancy Engagements
Digital Transformation Strategy for a Retail Client
This example highlights the power of Enterprise Design Thinking Playbacks in driving real business impact.
If Co-Creators bring together diverse stakeholders, from marketing to IT, the consulting firm ensures that every perspective is considered in crafting a seamless omnichannel shopping experience.
Rather than relying solely on assumptions or industry benchmarks, they leverage prototyping and real customer feedback to refine their recommendations. As a consequence, this iterative application allows them to identify pain points early, test multiple checkout experiences, and implement solutions that truly resonated with customers.
What the result could be? I believe a high percentage increase in online conversion rates—a testament to the effectiveness of human-centered design, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous iteration in solving complex business challenges.
This success story is only an example of how it underscores why Enterprise Design Thinking is not just a methodology, but a strategic advantage for the environment in which today, the businesses operate.
Healthcare Service Design
Another example is that a team of consultants, working closely with a hospital system, applies Hills and Affinity Mapping to uncover critical pain points in patient onboarding, a process often riddled with inefficiencies and missed appointments.
Therefore, because they adopt a co-creation approach, they engage both doctors and patients in redesigning the appointment scheduling experience, ensuring that the solution addressed real needs from both perspectives.
That said, it is important to consider that this human-centered methodology not only streamlines the scheduling process but also goes to improve patient engagement and adherence.
The final result?
The impact will always be significant: at least 15% reduction in no-show rates, leading to better resource utilization, improved patient care, and increased operational efficiency.
This is why, this example of a success story, highlights how Enterprise Design Thinking enables consultants to manage complexity, cultivate teamwork, and drive measurable outcomes in industries where seamless experiences are critical.
