Entering the Third Stage - onward to new mischief

In October, I happily retired from my full-time professional UX career and my Principal role at AnswerLab.

After growing up in poverty and starting my first job at age eleven and spending decades devoted to economic security for my family (with admittedly mixed results at times), to realize financial security and reach this stage of the story is a relief, a blessing, and an opportunity for new mischief.

To my treasured AnswerLab friends, colleagues, and clients: thank you for the exceptional and memorable send-off! I appreciate your words of encouragement, the amazing goodwill, the gifts, and all the professional and personal respect. I feel valued and loved.?

I’m lucky to now open new doors into a number of intriguing projects, speaking engagements, workshops, and partnerships. I’d love to hear from you and what ventures you’re chasing — and I’d love to help. Three decides of working with the likes of Google, Apple, Meta, HP, Amazon, FedEx, Amex, and many others has taught me much about exceptional experiences, professional excellence, motivating others, and the primacy of the user. Of course, in addition to finding me immersed in those creative pursuits, at times you won’t find me at all because I’ll be somewhere in the wilderness, possibly standing in a trout stream or hiking a remote trail — or hanging out with my dear Jan, kids and grandkids.
