Enter China Without a Visa

Enter China Without a Visa

Starting from May 15th, foreign tourist groups traveling to China by cruise ship will be allowed to enter without a visa.

This decision, approved by the State Immigration Administration, allows foreign tourist groups (consisting of 2 or more people) organized and received by domestic travel agencies to enter without a visa through 13 cruise ports in cities such as Tianjin, Dalian in Liaoning Province, Shanghai, Lianyungang in Jiangsu Province, Wenzhou and Zhoushan in Zhejiang Province, Xiamen in Fujian Province, Qingdao in Shandong Province, Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, Beihai in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Haikou and Sanya in Hainan Province. They are allowed to stay for up to 15 days. The tourist groups must travel with the same cruise ship to the next port until the ship exits, and the activity scope is limited to coastal provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government) and Beijing.

Additionally, in support of cruise tourism development, seven cruise ports including Dalian, Lianyungang, Wenzhou, Zhoushan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Beihai will be added as applicable ports for China's transit visa-free policy, facilitating transit for foreign passengers who meet the conditions of China's transit visa-free policy and travel by cruise ship.
