Ensuring quality: the importance of VASCAT motor testing

In the engineering industry, especially in the field of electric motor manufacturing, quality is a critical factor that cannot be overlooked. One of the cornerstones of ensuring this quality is the rigorous testing that we subject all our motors to before they are delivered to the customer.

Every motor manufactured by VASCAT is subjected to an exhaustive testing process without exception. Within our facilities, we have an innovative test area consisting of four test stations. These stations are equipped to test motors up to 10000 Nm and speeds up to 12000 rpm, covering a wide range of products we manufacture, including DC motors, asynchronous induction motors, and permanent magnet synchronous motors.

Our commitment to quality is reflected in the variety of tests we carry out at our facilities.

Various load tests are carried out as standard, with voltage, intensity, frequency, torque, and speed measurements in both AC and DC. We also carry out insulation measurements, noise level analysis, and vibration analysis over the full speed range, including bearing fault detection using FFT analysis.

The results of these tests are meticulously recorded and then sent to the customer for validation. We recognise the importance of transparency in this process and strive to maintain open and clear communication with our customers at every stage of the testing process.

In the specific case of motors for test systems, where even more rigorous testing is required, VASCAT goes one step further. In addition to the standard tests, we provide an extended test report to ensure that our motors meet the high-quality standards required in this demanding sector.
