Ensuring continuity of SaaS/Hosted software and Data

Evening all. I’m keen to discuss SES’s SaaS Secure Escrow solution with any Software Developers of SaaS/Hosted applications or End Users who are currently, or are looking to use, SaaS/Hosted applications. Those familiar with Escrow will know how obtaining Source Code is crucial for continuity.

However with SaaS, Data and other relevant materials become much more important. Surprisingly many discussions we have these days that’s not quite understood.

An increasing number of businesses use 3rd party developed applications that are delivered through a hosting partner or ASP using a Software as a Service model (SaaS). In many cases the software developer is also the ASP or, responsible for the relationship with the ASP.       

Should the software developer or ASP suffer business failure, the end user typically has little control over the continuation of the service and just as importantly, can lose critical data once the service becomes unavailable.
