When you are thinking about CHANGE and the likely consequences of it,  your mind and soul are halfway there, and already telling you…about new needs and wants!

Preamble / Introduction

For the last 6-8 months, the world has been thrown in disarray by an invisible monster who makes its presence felt with a ‘big-bang’. WE ALL have been taken out of our ‘comfort zone’; away from loved and cherished ones; down to satisfying simply basic needs! - We are no longer (for the time being) projecting for middle to long-range, just today, this week and maybe next month’s commitments will do. So, it seems the 24x7 we get every week has a lot of spare room to play with. Millions or billions of people have reverted to an introspection process, others finally got down to their house clean-up; personal errands of years; or even those long thought and protracted renovation plans. Yet, for many Not-a-family-vacation, yet there have been some exceptions, 'rules routers' mmmm, and others… with thoughtless behaviours. Unfortunately, we are in tough times where ‘vigilante’ type initiatives would not be well-regarded in this era of COVID 19 and of utterly exaggerated political correctness.

Some of the dire consequences are:

a)     Mental health is under siege

b)     Emotional health has never been at a higher risk

c)     Physical health & fitness have been undermined by the prior two

d)     Financial health and endurance are an unknown quantity – Our superannuation and savings are finite, and so is paid work

e)     Family health! The fantastic COVID 19 slogans and mantras such as “WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER”, have not been entirely understood by many self-centred and egotistical morons. Again… patience please, politeness and political and/or social correctness are sought, but by whom?

Are minorities (again) trying to ‘score-big’ with the COVID 19 Express train running away with the statistical case of infection and sadly deaths?

Social isolation which in fact should have been PHYSICAL ISOLATION, another gargantuan political and bureaucratic blunder!

One definition and significance of ‘politics’ is “It forges harmony between individual’s freedom and State’s control”.

It is beggars’ belief, how do we find the correlation between that definition and the mishandling of freedom, open space, communal eateries, shopping centres, pubs, beaches, and any other place where social interaction, first is physical interaction. People at fruit shops, butchers, gift shops were not and are not prepared for this ‘distancing’, and frankly they are taking huge risks for themselves and families, and for their customers and clients.

In the middle of COVID 19 Pandemic times, whom do we trust? 

LIFE HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN ADVENTURE, with some calculated or… non-calculated risks. Younger people with more energy and less consciousness for likely consequences will always challenge common sense and convention. And so be it, this doesn’t mean we the older, more mature, not-as-young-lot, have to deprive ourselves of some fun activities, take a bit of gamble just like we do when in the ‘casino’, ‘racetrack/hippodrome’, or even the Stock Exchange for a little or big flutter.

Let us keep on our sense of adventure, slightly tempered by common wisdom, and sorely acquired experience on what to never do again!

Nonetheless, there is one thing (just one antidote) which in the long run, I can assure you, it will outrun and annihilate all viruses, and that is... THH antibodies, The Human Hope.
