Not enough time to exercise?
Hi,
Grant here
I had a new client reach out the other day because they were really battling to get quality exercise in because of time, or lack thereof.
They had a trainer that had written them a program that took forever to do but they just couldn't keep it up so they quit and all because of...
...time
The one thing in the world that is exactly the same for everybody.
It doesn’t matter how rich or poor you are, where you live or what you believe,
It's one thing we all have in common,
We all have 24 hours a day.
So is time to exercise a real issue that some of us battle with?
Yes, it genuinely can be.
Some of us simply have busier lives than others.
It could be from long work hours, pressing family commitments, studies, hobbies…
There can be a lot of very important things that take time away from exercise.
I mean if you are having to choose between spending time with your kids or perhaps developing a new relationship then maybe there isn't as much free time as you would like to have to exercise.
And here lies the issue…
You want to lose weight and you know you need to exercise.
But that takes time
You want to be healthier and look more toned but you know you really should be in the gym working on that.
I mean who has free hours to do that?
Unless you are a fitness professional and work in a gym or are an aspiring athlete/bodybuilder most of us don't have 2 hours a day to train.
It's just not feasible.
I mean it's difficult enough just getting away from the desk on time...
...still having to get and make dinner…
...catch up on a few social commitments with friends and family…
...and just have a few minutes of peace and quiet to unwind before going to sleep.
Those hours just aren't there.
People are busy.
But this only compounds the problem,
See the busier we feel are,
The less time we feel we have to exercise and look after our most important asset
“Ourselves”
So we just don't get round to it,
And this makes things even worse.
We get more tired from not exercising,
We put on weight from not exercising,
We feel sore and stiff from not exercising,
Our sex drive drops from not exercising,
we start to feel down and depressed from not exercising
And all because of time - or lack thereof.
But,
You see
It really doesn't have to be that way.
You don't need to spend hours in the gym to get the benefits of exercise.
Most of us could find 20-30 minutes,
3 X per week to get some exercise in,
And guess what?
That's all you need to change your current situation completely...
...to go from unfit to fit...
...to go from fat to fit...
Sometimes we tend to give up before we start - all because we believe we don't have the resources to dedicate - that precious time
So we don't start,
We say things to ourselves,
There's no point in doing anything if we can't do it a 100%
That perfectionist attitude that most of us have.
But here's the thing,
If you devote 20-30 min, three times a week to exercise
then that's all you need to...
...Lose weight...
...Get fitter and healthier...
...Tone up...
...Improve mood and sex drive.
And still, leave time for the other things that are important.
Exercise doesn't have to rule your life,
But you need to make just a little time for it,
The body has a use it or lose it function-
If you don't use it and move,
Look after it and take care of it,
It will break guaranteed!
So that 60-90 min a week is all you need.
There is however a big
BUT…
...you need to be doing the right things for this to be effective
(and no you don't have to go to the gym to lose weight)
It is no point in wasting what little time you have by doing the wrong thing,
That doesn’t yield the results you are looking for.
What you do can be efficient but it has to also be effective!
So I want to make you an offer,
