Enough if I become A Human
Few of you ask me
Why i write the way i write
And say it is not a poetry
I never told anyone that i am poet
Or i do any poetry
Have you ever seen me
Claiming that I do poetry
Have i ever told anyone
That i am a poet
I have mind
And it thinks
What all thought comes
I go on penning down
In lines, in broken lines
In a flow
I go on flying with the words
Like a bird
I don’t bother about
Whether it fit into rhymes
I heard about meters
I don’t bother about
Whether it fits into meters
Or fits into poetry notions
River water’s dharma is to flow
Birds are to fly
And make noise of what they have
Their noise we love as a sonnet
Love as sweet music
Most of the time River knows its boundaries
I know it as well
But at times forgets it
When the flow goes fast
Me also forget
When flow of thoughts start coming one after one
Then I forget the pre-set limits, the rhymes, the construction
I forget all the traditions, all the notions
Of what poetry is all about
What great poets says and written
Suffocated I feel in the cage
In the well organized rhymes
Symmetry of lines, making stanzas
I don’t want to put any barriers
In front of my thoughts
I don’t want to confine in social cages
I want to fly, flow and
Want to take breath in open air
I don’t ever claim I am a poet
Enough if I become a human
