Enough Government and Authorities. It's Time to Trust People.
We are into our third week of drone sightings and still no word from “authorities” about the source or reason for the drone flights.? Except for phrases like “don’t shoot them down” and “there is nothing to fear” we hear virtually nothing from government authorities.?
What happened to President Abraham Lincoln’s “government of the people, for the people.” ?It appears that we have evolved to such an imperial, omnipotent government that authorities are no longer honest and forthright and bluntly do not trust you and I, the regular people, Americans.?Enough.
The lack of information from the drone sightings is how the government, the elites and big food has been operating for decades concerning what is in our foods.? Whether intentionally or just bad policy, the US food industry, following FDA directives, have left consumers in the dark about what is truly in their foods. The current Nutrition Facts Panel (NFP) provides 15 attributes of less than 1% of the information people need to have knowledge of the quality and safety of their foods so they can make informed choices about what is best for them.
Government has failed us with transparency in our foods.?The NFP is only 30 years old (prior nutrition information was voluntary) and its stated purpose is to provide information so consumers can “make informed dietary choices” to “promote public health.”?
So why do they give such little information? Why can’t we answer big questions which affect our wellness and health?? Food companies have all the information about their foods but they are not sharing, are not shooting straight with us and have left us in the dark. Does the FDA serve the people or big food, big medicine, and big pharma?
Why don’t they trust us with knowledge?? Lets explore what is truly in our foods and who would benefit and be hurt by transparency.? Follow the money! With transparency in our foods, everyone would know the following:
Should we care about these facts and gain more knowledge about our foods?? It is up to the individual, but it is our right to know what is in our foods.?Why would any of these institutions want to upset the status quo? Everyone wins except for the people.?Are we helpless? NO.
Since the government has failed, we say, give the power back to the people.?The most powerful force in the world are people rising up together, the people's voice, and this force. voice could take on the food industry.
But how??There are many startups trying to disrupt the status quo and we cheer them all on.?WISEcode is one of those disruptors and our mission is simply to bring transparency to food, empowering personal choice and ultimately personalized nutrition.? We’re a leading “foodtech?” company which applies the latest advancements in tech, artificial intelligence, machine learning, lab research and cloud computing to the food, nutrition and health industries to achieve knowledge about our foods never before available.?
WISEcode has built WISEdata?, the world’s most comprehensive food database, with over 15,000 attributes on each of the 650,000 foods—1,000 times more data than any other source which is the foundation of transparency in foods.
But more is not better, if it is not simple and usable for the consumers.? So we created the WISEcode app that just went live last week.? WISE for What I Should Eat (note the “I” or the beginning of personalization) and code (honoring the fearless codebreakers of WWII, mostly British women, who cracked the German codes.

Later in 2025, we will attack the nutrition side of the food equation with such codes like; Nutrient density, protein, fat and carb quality, sugar density and much more.
Perhaps it is the community voting that gets us most excited.?Imagine millions of Americans have the power of food transparency on the Iphone and a quick scan while in the grocery store.?A product might be full of WatchOuts, Seed oils and artificial ingredients, that a consumer and millions more can vote to love or hate the product, similar to Amazon ratings.? We’ll publish our community’s ratings for full transparency and get out from under the thumb of the power of bureaucrats and the elite by delivering transparency in our food. Wonder what big food (and big retailers) will think if their product is rated most hated by consumers?
Transparency isn’t just a buzzword—it is our DNA and our mission to make it the standard we’re setting for the food industry. Our nutrition revolution is all about giving power back to the people.??
Trust people – give them food transparency and let them choose.
